Army Test & Evaluation AI Capability Enablement

Integrating AI into Army test and evaluation environments demands more than tool adoption — it requires rebuilding workforce analytical workflows around AI-augmented test data processing, analysis automation, and AI-assisted reporting. Chieftain delivered an ACEP™ cohort engagement supporting Army Test & Evaluation Command test professionals at White Sands and supporting installations, developing AI literacy tailored to T&E analytical workflows, engineering mission-aligned use cases for test data analysis, and prototyping AI tool integration in evaluation environments.

Responsible AI governance and explainability requirements were integrated throughout — ensuring AI-assisted test analysis met accountability standards required for acquisition milestone reporting.

DoD Enterprise AI Workforce Enablement

A DoD enterprise organization required AI capability development across a distributed, mixed-level workforce — spanning operational staff, program managers, and senior leadership. The challenge was not AI awareness, but transition from awareness to operational capability: building the internal confidence, use case inventory, and governance alignment required to deploy AI within a program office environment.

Chieftain delivered a multi-cohort ACEP™ engagement covering AI workforce development, structured use case engineering against active program priorities, and responsible AI alignment to CDAO guidance. The program produced a prioritized organizational AI roadmap and a workforce positioned to evaluate, advocate for, and deploy AI tools within their mission domain.

"Chieftain's approach was fundamentally different — they didn't deliver a course. They built our team's capability to actually use AI in the work we're already doing."

National Security AI Education Program

National security professionals require AI education grounded in the realities of mission environments — classification constraints, acquisition timelines, responsible AI obligations, and the specific decision contexts where AI tools provide operational value. Generic AI training programs consistently fail to transfer to mission application.

Chieftain developed and deployed AI-integrated curriculum for national security and defense acquisition professionals, combining foundational AI literacy, use case identification methodology, and responsible AI governance into structured educational programs. The curriculum was deployed in partnership with university and laboratory organizations supporting defense civilian and acquisition workforce development programs — including integration with the Defense Civilian Training Corps (DCTCx) platform supporting DoD education programs.

Defense Innovation Office AI Readiness & Roadmap

Defense innovation offices are frequently tasked with accelerating AI adoption across the organizations they support — but without a baseline assessment of workforce AI readiness, available data assets, or prioritized use case opportunities, innovation efforts lack the foundation required to produce measurable outcomes.

Chieftain conducted a structured AI readiness baseline assessment for a Defense Innovation office — evaluating current workforce AI proficiency across five operational domains, identifying and prioritizing AI use case opportunities against mission impact and implementation feasibility, and developing a phased organizational AI capability roadmap aligned to the ACEP™ framework. The roadmap established a clear path from current-state awareness to operational AI integration, with defined milestones, resourcing requirements, and success metrics.

"The readiness assessment gave us an honest baseline — not a sales pitch. The roadmap Chieftain produced became our internal planning document for the next 18 months."
